Gorgias Alternatives for Teams That Need Customer Insights
Compare Gorgias, Outlined, Re:amaze, Zendesk and Shopify Inbox by workflow fit, analytics evaluation and commercial model, with clear sourcing limits.
Published

The right Gorgias alternative depends on why you are considering a change. If your priority is internal insight from multichannel conversations, evaluate Outlined alongside broader support platforms. If your existing Gorgias workflows meet your needs, improving the reporting process or adding a specialised analysis layer may be less disruptive than migration.
Disclosure: Outlined publishes this comparison. Research was checked on 30 October 2026 using public vendor documentation and Outlined's documented product boundaries. This is a documentation-based shortlist, not a claim that we independently tested every product or measured comparative accuracy.
Start with the reason for switching
Write a concrete requirement: “We need product requests that can be traced to customer messages,” not “We need better AI.” Other triggers include team collaboration, channel coverage, reporting flexibility, or cost under a particular workload.
List capabilities you would lose. A vendor that fits internal analysis may not replace customer-facing automation, voice, storefront chat, or order actions. Do not cancel a functioning system until essential replacement workflows are proven.
Compare the shortlist by job
| Product | Documented emphasis | What to investigate for customer insights | Commercial basis to check |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gorgias | Ecommerce helpdesk with AI Agent | Whether existing reports answer the specific question before switching | Ticket volume, AI resolutions, add-ons |
| Outlined | Connected support conversations and internal customer intelligence | Product evidence, customer context, analytics usefulness, read-only Shopify boundary | Workspace subscription, included usage, extra usage, WhatsApp wallet |
| Re:amaze | Shared inbox, chat, automation and ecommerce support | Reporting tier, tagging workflow, required channel setup | Team-member pricing or qualifying Starter limits |
| Zendesk | Customer service platform with analytics | Required analytics plan, configuration effort, question coverage | Qualifying plan, agent count, add-ons |
| Shopify Inbox | Conversations with online-store visitors | Whether storefront conversation management is sufficient | Current app eligibility and any associated services |
Verify the exact channel, integration, and permission requirements in the plan you would use. This table does not imply that each product has an equivalent feature set.
When staying with Gorgias makes sense
Gorgias currently describes ticket-volume helpdesk pricing with separate AI-resolution charging. If your team already has effective ecommerce workflows, first test whether clearer definitions, configuration, or a reporting routine addresses the gap.
Request a quote for your ticket volume, AI use, billing period, and add-ons. Compare the total for that workload rather than treating an entry-tier price as your expected bill.
When to evaluate Outlined
Evaluate Outlined when your team wants connected email, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Messenger work alongside customer context and internal analysis. Test whether actual examples can support a useful product-interest, recurring-issue, or team review.
It is not a customer-facing chatbot replacement. Its Shopify integration provides read-only context; it does not perform refunds or order changes. As of 30 October 2026, the Standard subscription is $279 per month plus applicable tax, with included allowances and separately controlled extra usage. Check current terms, including WhatsApp charges, before deciding.
When to consider the other options
Re:amaze's official pricing lists Basic at $29, Pro at $49, and Plus at $69 per team member per month on monthly billing. Its $59 Starter option has a responded-conversation limit; AI allowances and additional resolution charges also need checking. A 15-user team should compare the qualifying tier, not assume the lowest plan includes every reporting capability.
Zendesk's analytics page describes its reporting offering. Ask which subscription and configuration are required for your questions; do not assume a headline entry price includes the demonstrated analytics.
Shopify Inbox is a candidate when online-store conversations are the main job. Check its current staff and opt-in agent functionality rather than relying on an outdated description of it as only a basic manual chat tool.
Run one fair evaluation
Give each finalist the same approved scenarios: identify a product request, investigate a recurring complaint, continue a cross-channel request, and explain a report's denominator. Score evidence traceability, workflow fit, operational effort, and total cost separately.
Use our analytics evaluation script. Select the tool that passes your essential tasks, and record gaps openly instead of treating a vendor-published shortlist as the decision itself.
